Scholarships

The SSMA sponsors multiple scholarships to students who have been involved in performing arts during their years in high school. Scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors who plan to major in Music or Theater at an accredited college, to a graduating senior planning to major in Education, and to graduating seniors with any intended major.

Tri-M Music Honor Society

The Tri-M Music Honor Society is a program of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME). Tri-M recognizes students that have gone above and beyond both academically and musically.Tri-M also provides students leadership opportunities to make a difference in their community through music-based service projects.

The Annual Performing Arts Awards are announced in May. Past awards winners can be viewed here:
At the Awards ceremony we honor:
  • ensemble officers,
  • special music awards,
  • national awards,
  • theater awards,
  • Tri-M honor society,
  • scholarships,
  • students who performed in competitive festivals,
    ​and
  • all Seniors who are active this year in the music ensembles and theater productions.
